What to Do After a Car Accident

Put Your Safety First.  Check yourself and your passengers for injuries. Call 911 if anyone is injured or there is an immediate emergency. Move out of traffic if it is safe to do so, and follow instructions from responding authorities.

Collect Important Information

Exchange names, contact information, vehicle registration and insurance details with the other drivers involved. If safe, take photographs of the damage, vehicles and surrounding scene. Keep any witness information and police report number.

Contact Your Insurance Company

Notify your insurer promptly and keep your claim number available. Ask about your coverage, deductible and any rental vehicle benefits included in your policy.

Connect with Collision Repair Assistance

Call the Northside Customer Assistance Center at (315) 622-5678 and tell the team you are an Auburn Honda customer. They can help you understand your next steps and confirm the appropriate receiving location.

Confirm the location before arranging towing or dropping off your vehicle. Do not assume your vehicle should be brought to Auburn Honda's sales or service entrance. Never drive a vehicle that may be unsafe.

The collision team can discuss an estimated timeline after assessing your vehicle and explain changes as the repair plan develops. Our partnership with Northside Collision is intended to support a more efficient process, but completion times vary by repair.
