Here at Fox Honda, we sell a variety of Honda models that offer all-wheel-drive technology to enhance your vehicle's performance as you drive in Auburn, New York. Here's an overview of the two types of AWD systems that Honda uses and which current models offer it.
Honda's All-wheel-drive systems
Honda has two AWD systems: Real Time AWD™ technology and the Intelligent Variable Torque Management™ (i-VTM4®) AWD System.
Real Time AWD™ transfers power to the back wheels at times when necessary to help prevent wheelslip. It's more suited to average driving conditions, including wet and snowy roads.
The i-VTM4® system is a more fine-tuned drivetrain configuration designed for off-roading and the most challenging types of terrain. This sophisticated system dynamically senses which wheel axle needs more torque, and then distributes power accordingly.
